She says that she begins her writing projects by trying to explore the characters and the setting. When writing her books, she puts effort into outlining. She has two chihuahuas named Doc Holliday and Mr. She also likes to spend some time with her dogs. She also likes to spend time doing one of her favorite things, which is getting some chocolate cupcakes and eating them all up. She tries to teach them the value of being kind, even when it’s a day where they do not feel particularly in the mood to be so. She writes a lot but when she is not doing that, she is able to teach students in middle school how to write and read and even be kind. She is also an author full time after having pursued and having gotten her MA in the field of writing. Walton was in the middle of a cold rain storm when she was thinking about love and the sense of logic or the lack of it found in it. Ironically, the first book that this author wrote was also inspired by her sulking for a while in the rain. This is because she also feels that she is only able to achieve her true beauty after a bout of cold and a stint in the rain. She thinks that it might be partly due to this that she has developed such a unique kinship and sense of relating to the sunny yellow flower, the daffodil.
